Wat Pho

Historically, Wat Pho is extremely important as the main temple of King Rama I, who rebuilt it over the remains of an old temple after he founded Bangkok in 1782. It’s one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok, home to the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand, including the magnificent golden Reclining Buddha statue.

Wat Arun

Wat Arun (nicknamed the 'Temple of Dawn') is a landmark temple on the west bank of the Chao Phraya river. Wat Arun is partly made up of colourfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water. Although it’s known as the Temple of the Dawn, it's absolutely stunning at sunset, particularly when lit up at night. Even so, the quietest time to visit is early morning, before the crowds.

Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen

Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen is a unique royal temple that was established in Ayutthaya period. It is famous for its largest seated buddha in Bangkok. The buddha image is made entirely of pure bronze (the only one in the world) and is in the meditation posture. The temple is also a prosperous center of meditation and Buddhist education.

Mahanakhon Skywalk

Bangkok Chinatown

Food is ubiquitous in Bangkok’s Chinatown, so you can find fresh street food at any daytime and around each of the corner. But especially in the evening, many food stalls open up. It’s a big sizzling and frying, it hisses, and flames shoot in the air. Everything from famous fish balls soup to insects, scorpions, but also exotic fruits, stuffed Chinese dumplings, dried fish, bird nest soup and seafood.

ICONSIAM

IconSiam is the most impressive shopping Center in Bangkok. It's next to the Chao Phraya River, and has more than 7,000 shops, 100 restaurants and even a floating market. Inaugurated in November 2018, IconSiam has become one of Bangkok's most popular tourist destinations. It's built in Thonburi, one of the "quieter" areas of the capital, and occupies a space of 750,000 Square Meters.

Lumpini Park

Lumpini Park is one of the largest green spaces in central Bangkok. Founded in the 1920s, this inner-city park spans over 500,000 sqm and is home to various flora and fauna. Over the years, it's become a popular gathering spot for Bangkok residents, who would gather for a round of jogging, light workouts, aerobics, and leisurely activities throughout the day.

Grand Palace

The Grand Palace complex was established in 1782 and it consists of not only royal and throne halls, but also a number of government offices as well as the renowned Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It covers an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by four walls, 1900 meters in length. After King Rama I ascended to the throne in 1782, the palace was built. Prior to this, the royal palace and centre of administration had been located in Thonburi, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. For various reasons, the new King considered the former capital to be unsuitable and decided to establish a new capital on the other side of the river.

Bangkok Art & Culture Centre

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) is the hub of Bangkok’s burgeoning art scene and offers the widest range of contemporary art, design, music, theatre and film in the city. Both inside and outside the building is reminiscent of the Guggenheim in New York, with its huge white curving facade and spiral walkways. It stands out on the corner of the Pathumwan intersection among the shopping centres and often displays some interesting sculptures in the front square.
